Brand
Chilewich
Placemats and floor mats worth fussing over are usually ones from Chilewich. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill placemats used during family barbecues. Textile designer Sandy Chilewich founded the brand in 1997 from her New York City-based studio while experimenting with often overlooked textiles like woven vinyl. Chilewich placemats, runners, bags, woven vinyl floor mats, and indoor/outdoor floor mats are created from her innovative use of yarn fusing style and sophistication to create modern pieces in an ever-expanding assortment.
